Disposal of batteries

In connection with the distribution of batteries or accumulators or with the delivery of devices containing batteries or accumulators, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the Battery Act:
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste as they contain harmful substances that can cause harm to health and the environment if stored or disposed of improperly. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return batteries to us after use, or return them to retailers or municipal collection points free of charge. In retail, the levy is limited to quantities usual for end users and to those used batteries that are stocked there.
Used batteries contain valuable raw materials that can be reused. The environment and we say thank you.
Batteries or accumulators that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed out garbage can. The chemical name of the pollutant is located near the garbage can symbol:
Cd: battery contains cadmium, Pb: battery contains lead and Hg: battery contains mercury.
